Our Mission First Goal:

  • to be a church that acts on God’s overwhelming call to respond with compassion to the vulnerable
  • to educate ourselves and others about our life with undocumented people, refugees, and immigrants and to provide assistance as much as possible
  • to address issues of health care, disabilities, and special needs children
  • to work for human rights for all people, including Muslims, Jews, other minority religious groups, women, LGBTQ+, and more
  • to remain committed to the poor, the hungry, the homeless, people with mental health issues, the uneducated, the powerless, and the afraid

  • Our Zoom Socials will continue as desired every Wednesday at 6:00.

  • Food justice will be our ecojustice focus.  We’ll start a study in January and look for hands-on service projects, too.  This focus on food intersects all the critical issues for Creation Care:  conservation, restoration, decarbonization, sustainable living, and inclusive values.

Joys and Concerns:

  • Debbie submitted her DMIN project report dissertation today!  Now, she waits for feedback…
  • Lisa’s daughter, Natalie, may have COVID.
  • Both Janet’s mom and dad are recovering from COVID.
  • Max enjoyed Mt. Olive’s 80th anniversary celebration, which included an Octoberfest.
  • Cheryl is very happy that Evergreen Christian Church had a very successful blood drive in honor of Luke Grider.
  • Judy is feeling great now, a month following her surgery.
  • Tory is leading the way to ramp up the recycling program at Kabod.  She reports that Sherrill is doing the same at her apartment complex.
