Ongoing Mission and Service Projects:

Our Mission First Goal:

  • to be a church that acts on God’s overwhelming call to respond with compassion to the vulnerable
  • to educate ourselves and others about our life with undocumented people, refugees, and immigrants and to provide assistance as much as possible
  • to address issues of health care, disabilities, and special needs children
  • to work for human rights for all people, including Muslims, Jews, other minority religious groups, women, LGBTQ+, and more
  • to remain committed to the poor, the hungry, the homeless, people with mental health issues, the uneducated, the powerless, and the afraid

  • Sherrill led us in our discussion of Doubt as Crisis. 

Joys and Concerns:

  • Janet is feeling the weight of caring for her parents and supporting Gregory during chemotherapy.  She appreciates prayers for comfort and peace.
  • Cheryl preached at South Broadway this morning, and Ann was the worship leader. 
  • Lisa has been discerning her call to ministry over the past six months.  She loved presiding at the communion table this morning at Northglenn UCC. 
  • Sherrill will start phone banking on Tuesday for Moms Demand Change.
  • Sherrill’s friend, Maggie, passed away this week.
  • Cheryl asks for prayers for her dad as he continues to grieve.
  • Judy’s brother will have surgery this week.
