  • to address issues of health care, disabilities, and special needs children

Discussion:

  • Judy led us in our discussion of “Theologies of Harmony.”  She also led our communion meditation.

Joys and Concerns:

  • Cheryl is back at Evergreen Christian Church sharing an interim ministry with Sondra Tilsley.  She’s happy to say that they’re off to a great start.
  • Cheryl attended the Regional Board retreat this weekend and provided leadership, as well.  She reports that Fireside is doing very well.
  • Prayers and good thoughts are extended to all the kids going back to school this week and next.  May they have a happy, healthy, and safe school year.
  • Channel 9’s Kyle Clark featured Aurora Public Schools’ “Educator Emporium” this week.  The public exposure raised thousands of dollars in a matter of hours.
  • Community colleges across the metro area received an ominous threat this week, which led to a lockdown/shutdown across the city.  Lisa’s daughter, Natalee, was one of those sent home.  Very scary for all those involved.
